Welcome to The Chess Store blog. The purpose of our blog is to simply share information about chess with the emphasis on chess sets and other chess related products. But from time to time we’ll throw something else in the mix such as a little history lesson or a big tournament going on.

We get a lot of calls from people asking all sorts of questions about chess sets. Not that we are necessarily the expert on everything or anything, but we’re more than happy to share our knowledge of chess sets and other chess news that you may find of interest. There are a lot of little factoids about the chess set business that we believe players and especially collectors will find interesting.

All of us at The Chess Store are pretty lucky to be in the business of working with something entertaining and cool like chess sets, chess boards, and all of the other fun chess stuff. We have the opportunity to look at and play with some of the best chess sets in the world and we love sharing with people what we like best and what really looks great together. From time to time we’ll share with you thoughts on our products and especially new products that we’re excited about. We’ll also give you an honest assessment of a product and then let you be the judge (ie; not the best of quality but a great value for the price).

Stay tuned, we have a subject we’re going to be discussing in a few days that you’ll find both interesting and informative (the new wood on the block).
